Wouldn’t you like to create your own birthday history? I do and I already did. It is such a funny yet exceptionally eventful birthday celebration. My visitors were awed by what I had in store for them. Whenever I celebrate my birthdays I am always an active participant in a sense that I do all the preparations and I do the kinds of things that is unusual.
I wanted my birthday to be memorable for my visitors as it is for me. I know you are dying to know what I did to make a birthday history. Maybe what I did is or is not interesting for you, so might as well be the judge then. Well it was my birthday and of course I wanted to celebrate it differently yet I also want them to enjoy it. Then voila, my childish imagination runs and all I can think of is a children’s party inspired birthday. So
I went to some candy shops and department stores to check out party sweets suited to the young ones and the “once young”. There I bought sweet hampers of retro sweets, ice cream, a Bug’s bunny decorated cake, finger sandwiches, cup cakes, crackers, munchies such as chips, popcorn, and pretzels, juices and soda water. I did not serve any punch or any alcoholic drinks because it was supposed to be a kid’s party.
And I decorated the place with balloons and other kid’s stuff. Imagine their faces when they thought for a moment that they went to a wrong party. But after the shock, we went and enjoyed the party like kids, after all despite the age we are kids at heart. I also filled goodie handbags with birthday sweets like wham bars, sherbet fountains, bonbons, marshmallows, toffee crumbles, spearmint chews, liquorice comfits and other retro sweets and offered it as giveaways. It really feels good to bring back those childhood times and make memories once again.
