Add up to the Scare

I have always perceived Halloween as a scary occasion. It is the time wherein anyone has the right to scare and to be scared at the same time. Who could ever ignore the summons for an enjoyable day spent on trick or treat? Remember the time when you practiced your sweet and angelic smile so you can soften the hearts of your neighbors to give you more than they usually give other children? Oh yes, I did that before. The begging eyes and the widest and sweetest smile I could muster. And it worked. But oftentimes there are really those grumpy neighbors who ignore you and put you on your way without giving you even a single sweet. That is when you try your hand at scaring them. Fun isn’t it? That is why they have the option. It is either to be tricked or to treat. To treat is way way better.

Other scary aspects of Halloween are visiting haunted houses or cemeteries to play courage test and of course who doesn’t want to be invited in Halloween parties? Holding parties for Halloween is always an in thing. It is where you can dress up as vampires, witches, ghosts, headless horseman, goblins and so on. Not only that you can also add up to the scare of the Halloween season by decorating your favorite Halloween sweets to look as scary, as grimy and as bloody as you could.

Making Halloween treats to fit the event is simple and easy. You can follow spooky recipes like bloody finger cookies, spider snack cakes, monster head potatoes, grilled ghost and pumpkin cheese sandwiches, spooky tuna salad sandwich, blazing monster eyes, bloody bug juice, blue witch’s brew, crypt keeper cocktail and a lot more. But if you want you can buy pre-packed retro sweets with a touch of Halloween atmosphere. There are Halloween sweets that are in hampers containing your favorite ghoulish but sweet things like gummy worms, spiders and skulls, sweet skullcrushers, Halloween mallow pops, jelly pythons, fizzy dracula teeth, jelly filled munchy maggots, spooky dips, horror candy heads, eye poppers and etc.

These are only few of the many retro sweets that one can serve as Halloween treats for parties or as Halloween sweets for trick and treaters. So add up to the scare this Halloween through your sweets.

The Perfect Gift for Boys

Birthdays are always great celebrations. Aside from the lavish foods served during the day or night, gifts are one of the things I am most excited about. But that’s if you’re the one receiving the gifts, but if you’re the one giving it – the process of finding the perfect gift is a tedious, mind boggling task.

If the celebrant is a boy, all the more hard to find a gift for him because men- well, we sort of have monotonous things, and sometimes uber boring. So, well, I always want to give exciting gifts, something not ordinary, something cool.

In my search for the perfect, affordable gifts for boys, I found cool boys t-shirts. Yes, the name itself resound cool. It is not only great for boys but also for boys at heart. These t-shirts often have exciting prints on them, and in bright, attractive colors.

Cool boys t-shirts are great as gifts because it connotes happiness, and it’s cool. Of course, you have to choose the design that fits the celebrant well, whether it’s his personality or because that’s his favorite cartoon character, or if it’s his favorite color. Plus, cool boys t-shirts are sure to be worn and used by the celebrant. Isn’t it great to see your gift worn or used?

There are lots of designs to choose from, I am sure you will have enough for everyone. It comes in different sizes and colors, sometimes, you can even personalize it. Anyway, the point here is to give something that’s meaningful and that’s coming from your heart. Whether you give cool boys t-shirt or something else, as long as it comes from the heart, it will always be appreciated.

Sweet Hampers on Christmas Day

Christmas is a day for gift giving. It is when we empty our pockets just so we can provide gifts to our loved ones and special someone. Often, months before Christmas day we are already saving enough money to buy things that they would love. Especially when you get them something very expensive. But even if does not cost much it still conveys your expression of love and that enough will make them treasure it.

The true meaning of Christmas does not lie on how expensive your gifts are but on the way you show that you cherish them through simple gifts. I, for one prefer simple gifts that represent something rather than gifts that was given just for the sake of giving and no sense of feeling behind. Wouldn’t it a bit disappointing to know that a friend of yours or your sweetheart although gave you an expensive gift yet one that is bought by his or her secretary? Where is the essence of Christmas? Well those kinds of things do happen to adults. They get so busy with their lives even on Christmas day that they can’t even spare a thought much less time to select something appropriate and one that you would truly like.

Unlike when we were children, when we spend the whole day thinking what gift we might get, when we wait for Santa Clause to bring us those toys that we deserve since we have been good all throughout the year. It is somewhat nostalgic thinking back on the days when we are satisfied with Christmas sweets as gifts. How I love to eat those sweets especially retro sweets in Christmas hampers.

Retro sweets on sweet hamper which are filled with marshmallows, bonbons, porky pigs, liquorice comfits and wheels, sherbet pips, sour apples, dinky chocolates, sweet peanuts, fizzballs, gobstoppers, floral gums toffee crumble and my favorite white chocolates which I can’t get enough of. I just can’t forget how delighted I was whenever I get to have sweet hampers on Christmas day. Hope someone remembers how I love those luscious Christmas sweets. If no one does then I will buy myself one.

My Christmas History

When I was a kid, I always get excited when Christmas time is near. Until now that I am older, I am still like a kid looking forward for the fast approaching Christmas time. Christmas is always a season of love, joy and hope for me. Despite the difficulties and hardships around me, when it’s Christmas, I only see happiness and love even for a short moment. It’s not the gifts, Christmas hampers and Christmas trees that makes Christmas a wonderful season. Rather, it is the peace and unity of the family and friends that makes the season meaningful to me. Christmas is a time of reconciliation, Sins are forgiven and old woes are forgotten to give way to the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Christmas is a time that is celebrated by all the people in the world. Despite the differences of religion, Christmas is recognized by everyone. It is an event that is not foreign to all of us because it is widely spread and announced to all as it is fast approaching. It is a not only for the Christians but for all.

The season of Christmas is also a time for vacation and getting along with our loved ones. That is why I am always excited because Christmas time is also our family reunion. My siblings would always come home from other places where they work and take their breaks to celebrate Christmas time with us. We would then cook delicious food for Christmas Eve, buy Christmas hampers to share, give Christmas sweets to the kids, go to church for masses and listen to the Christmas carols.

Every year, my Christmas history is still the same. It is still the most beautiful season of all. Despite the changes of the times, nothing can replace Christmas as my favorite time of the year.

Christmas Seasons' Best Moments

Christmas is the season for sharing and reconciling. It is when we forget all grudges and put all misunderstandings in the past. Christmas is often seen as the only occasion or the only time where the whole family gathers together. It is indeed a sort of holiday season everyone can look forward to as Christmas season’s best moments happens here.

Christmas is also about sharing and gift-giving. When I was just a kid all I anticipated and get excited about Christmas are the numerous gifts I would receive. I usually get dolls, dresses, money or other pretty toys that more or less I like because sometimes adults have bad taste on what children likes to have. But it’s all appreciated though besides it’s the thought that counts.

Other things I so love about it, are the Christmas sweets. They are all retro sweets packed in Christmas hampers that would probably make your mouth water. It did for me. My aunties and uncles know that I love sweet stuffs that is why they never forget to bring Christmas sweets for my sweet tooth. I love to eat many kind of retro sweets like wham bars, sherbet fountains, sherbet pips, candy sticks, fruit pastilles, strawberry milkshakes, apple and custard, pascalls sweet peanuts, lemonade fizzballs, toffee crumble, lemon bonbons, liquorice comfits, liquorice wheels, twisty marshmallows, white chocolates, floral gums, dinky chocolate snowmen or santas, gobstoppers, bonbons, and all other sweets that comes in Christmas hampers. I can’t remember all, but all these are my favorites. I don’t seem to get enough of it, since I know I would only be allowed to eat so many sweets during Christmas, so I make the most of it.

Those Christmas sweets make my holiday season even sweeter. Until now, I still do look forward to Christmas because of this, although now that I am working and can afford one, I need not wait for my aunties or uncles to bring me retro sweets in Christmas hampers. Now I buy it to reward myself and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere. Indeed I definitely will enjoy this times Christmas season’s best moments.
